#YNaijaLit: Read two new poems from Esther Edoho’s debut chapbook ‘Moonflower’

Moonflower

As part of YNaija’s dedication to the arts and especially literature from Nigeria and the continent, we have opened our platform to novelists and poets and creative non-fiction writers, to share with us an integral part of their work and give us some much needed insight into why they have chosen to express themselves through this form.

This week we feature poet Esther Edoho, who is debuting her very first chapbook ‘Moon Flower’.  Edoho is part of a new wave of Nigerian poets who have grown their audiences via social media and are making the transition into traditional publishing by putting out bodies of work. Edoho’s writing is always succinct and as a poet she is committed to documenting as clearly as possible, youth and the experience of transitioning into adulthood.

She shares two poems with us “Sour” and “Adiaha”. Enjoy.
