It was parte after parte all night long on Sunday as Laycon took home the grand prize of 85 million Naira, and the party stretched on the next day. As expected, the housemates have put their drinks down, and turned down the music, to come give their fans some insight into their Big Brother journey.
The winner of the show Laycon Monday, sat down with Ebuka to relay some interesting information. He spoke of everything from the shock of winning to his insane social media growth, and gave his fans an overall view of his stay in the house.
The interview began with Ebuka probing into his thought processes the moment he was announced the winner. Laycon stated that he never expected to win, and only came to promote his music. He also noted that he initially thought he would come fourth after Neo, Vee, and Nengi in that order, but in all, he is still shaken by the fact that he won.
Ebuka then raised the question of the whole Erica debacle. He asked Laycon if he felt responsible for creating a perception around Erica, that she is a bad person, when he spoke to other housemates about her.
Laycon responded that he never intended to paint her as a bad person, noting that he told everyone time and time again that he deeply cares for her.
“I knew what I wanted to do was stay away, but I still needed to talk about it like some form of closure to myself, but there was never any minute or second where I thought Erica was a bad person.”
“I remember how I kept saying that I care about this individual”.
Ebuka then moved into friendships, and Laycon disclosed how he got comfortable with the Erica and Kiddwaya relationship because he started growing fund of Kidd. He also made mention of Vee and how grateful he is that they became friends.
When asked about his social media growth, he said the prospect excites and makes him grateful because now people can truly connect with him.
Lastly, he spoke about how he would love to collaborate with Trickytee and Vee to create some music.
