“Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, who has been in power since 1979 and is one of Africa’s longest-ruling leaders, will not stand for re-election at national polls due to be held next year, a ruling party document showed on Friday,” Channels News Asia reports. Is the reign of African dictators coming to an end? We certainly hope so.
Gambia is now free of Yahya Jammeh’s 22 year long rule; Angolan President says he will no longer run in the next election( don’t change your mind, pls). So we hope that like a pack of cards, the rest of the dictators in Africa will crumble down.
