Prime Minister Theresa May will visit Buckingham Palace on Friday to seek permission to form a government.

May had been unable to command a majority as Conservatives are eight seats short with one seat left to be announced.

The Prime Minister would attempt to gain support of the Democratic Unionist Party.

Jeremy Corbyn has urged her to quit, saying Labour is “ready to serve”.
