Lawmakers kick against removal of oil subsidy

by Ranti Joseph

From all indications, the Federal House of representative is against oil subsidy removal.

Members of the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, May 5, unanimously rejected a motion seeking the removal of fuel subsidy.

This was the outcome to a motion promoted by Sunday Kareemi (PDP) Kogi entitled: The recurring crisis of fuel subsidy’ which was killed on arrival by members of the House.

Lawmakers in turn roundly condemned the motion saying it is anti-people to remove fuel subsidy.
