[The Legislative Blog]: “I did not make any allegations against Aisha Buhari” – Sen Misau clears the air

In an attempt to clarify the burning situation involving him and the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Senator Isa Misau has denied making any allegations against First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

It was reported earlier today that the Senator representing Bauchi Central in the upper chamber accused IGP Idris of giving the First Lady two SUVs. He reportedly raised the accusations when he appeared before the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Investigation of Various Allegations Levelled Against the Police.

Shortly after plenary today, Senator Misau took to his Twitter account to elucidate the matter while making sure the First Lady’s name was duly cleared.

Contrary to what was earlier publicised, Senator Misau says his statement before the Senate had nothing to do with the First Lady receiving any car. Instead, he accused the IG of “carelessly parading” documents associated with President Muhammadu Buhari, First Lady Aisha Buhari and other top government officials in court.

Senator Misau has, over the weeks, consistently pinned several allegations of misconduct and corruption on the IGP, all of which the latter has utterly denied.
