Gov. Bello to publish names of people behind ‘ghost workers syndrome’ in Kogi

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello has reacted to an attack on him on Friday at a mosque in Lokoja.

Bello said those behind the attacks were aggrieved that his reforms were threatening their selfish interest.

Bello was pelted with rotten fruits and vegetables by a group of people earlier today after observing Juma’at in Lokoja.

In a statement signed by his press secretary, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor said the attacks were carried out by ‘imported’ thugs contracted by his political adversaries.

The governor also said the attack will be investigated.

“We are not unaware of scheming by change resistors to sponsor attacks against government officials.”

“Sponsoring attacks against the governor will not stop our march to restore sanity to the polity,” Fanwo said.

“The administration of Governor Yahaya Bello will soon publish the names of corrupt citizens of the state who are behind the Ghost Workers syndrome,” he also said.
