On Monday, July 11 2016, Iyanya announced he was setting up his record label via Instagram.
Ever since then, a lot of insinuations have been made regarding the reason behind this sudden decision of the Triple MG co-owner.
One that caught heat is a report by PULSE NG, claiming the decision was not sudden as it had been as a result of a series of fights and disagreements between the Kukere act and his manager and also Triple MG co-owner – Ubi Franklin.
The news website also asserted Iyanya wasn’t a huge fan of Ubi’s better half, actress Lilian Esoro.
In order to debunk the report, Iyanya took to his Instagram claiming everything the website wrote were all ‘lies’.
He said contrary to what had been reported, he is ‘not fighting with Ubi’ and the same goes for his wife, Lilian who is ‘a good woman and a good cook too.’
He made this known via a post on Instagram alongside a screenshot of the news website’s report.

On Monday, YNaija had spoken to Ubi Franklin in a telephone chat and he also dismissed any sort of friction between him and the Applaudise singer as the reason for Iyanya’s new record label project.
Going by Iyanya’s words, we’ll take a chill pill as we wait the real story behind the move.
