In just two weeks, three top members of the Trump administration have either resigned or were booted out. First, it was, White House spokesman, Sean Spicer, followed by former Chief of Staff, Reince Preibus and yesterday, Anthony Scaramucci was kicked out, just ten days after his appointment as the White House Communications Director.

Scaramucci was said to have met his abrupt end as a result of power play between him and the newly appointed Chief of Staff, John Kelly. It was reported ‘The Mooch’ as he is fondly called had bragged that he would report directly to the President and not to the Chief of Staff as expected. A situation which did not go down well with Kelly and he approved his dismissal.

Scaramucci has a history of being inconsistent with his political membership and ideology.

In the 2008 presidential election, Scaramucci supported the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and also served as a fundraiser for President Barack Obama. The two later fell out of favour with each other for reasons not known to the public.

He once attacked Donald Trump at the outset of his campaign calling him ‘a Hack Politician’ but later warmed himself into Trump’s heart. His inability to stay true to a course has portrayed him as an individual who is only interested in aligning himself with where the grass is greener.

Also, his perceived disloyalty to the office of the Chief of staff has shown him as someone who is not submissive enough – a basic requirement in politics and governance.

Scaramucci’s ouster that is a clear indication that those who seek power should be ready to know when to act like sheep and when to roar like lions.
