The National Council of Muslim Youths (NACOMYO) has warned all Muslims in the country to be security conscious at mosques during the Id’El Fitri celebration, which marks the end of Ramadan .
This was disclosed on Tuesday in a press statement issued by the council’s national president, Kamal’ddin Akintunde.
Premium Times reports that the council said in their statement, “NACOMYO implores Muslims and other Nigerians to be security conscious at Eid praying grounds, just as it emphasizes the need by our security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities and do the needful at the various praying centres and other crowded areas.”
NACOMYO further implored community development/landlord associations nationwide to ensure vigilance in their areas urging that they must also know facts about their tenants, adding that Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, stating that security is everybody’s responsibility.
