Wande Coal reacts to child abduction claims

Singer Wande Coal has dismissed the story of his babymama that he abducted their child.

His babymama, Temitope Ogunnusi had claimed that the singer impregnated her and made her drop her out of secondary school in 2008. She added that his mother took away their child.

However, Wande said the only truth in what his baby mama said is that he is Joseph’s father.

“I want to start by saying that the only truth that has been said so far, is that the child is my son. Everything else is a lie,” the singer said in a statement issued on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

“I honestly do not want to say much because at the end of the day, this is family and Temitope is the mother of the child, but I must clarify a few things she has used to attack my character and the reputation of my family.

“She has failed to tell the public that she did not tell me she was pregnant with my son. She married another man and claimed that the child was his and she never told me”, he added.

He noted that she is free to visit her child whenever she wants.

Chimamanda Adichie reveals she was sexually assaulted when she was 17

Award-winning author, Chimamanda Adichie has revealed that she was sexually abused by a powerful media man as a teenager.

The award-winning author made this known during an address at the just concluded Stockholm Forum for Gender Equality. Adichie narrated that she wrote a book of poems and thought he would help her promote the book. She said he slipped his hands into her bra and squeezed her breasts.

“I was so shocked that I did nothing for seconds but then, I pushed his hand away, gently, nicely, because I didn’t want to offend him. Later that day, I broke out in a rash on my face, neck, and chest, as though my body was recoiling, as though my body was saying what my lips had not said,” she revealed.

Seyi Shay and Bovi announced as hosts of 12th Headies edition

Smooth Promotions, the organisers of The Headies Awards have announced ace Nigerian comedian Bovi and Nigerian pop diva, Seyi Shay as the hosts for its 12th edition.

The prestigious show created to celebrate the best of the best in the Nigeria music and creative industry will hold the 5th of May at the Eko Convention Centre.

Prince’s death case closed, no charges to be filed

There will be no criminal charges filed in the death of Prince, Carver County attorney Mark Metz announced Thursday.

“Despite the intensive law enforcement investigation, there is no reliable evidence showing how Prince obtained the counterfeit Vicodin laced with fentanyl, or who else may have had a role in delivering the counterfeit Vicodin to Prince,” Metz said.

Law enforcement complete forensic analysis on all digital evidence, but they were unable to determine the source of the counterfeit Vicodin laced with fentanyl.

“Therefore, without probable cause and no identified suspect, the Carver County Attorney’s Office cannot file any criminal charges involving the death of Prince,” Metz announced.

Rihanna, Tiffany Haddish, Cardi B, and more named on TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list

TIME unveiled their annual list of 100 most influential people on Thursday with Rihanna, Cardi B, and Tiffany Haddish among the certified group. Cardi B’s place on the list comes with a letter of support from Taraji P. Henson who says of the “Bodak Yellow” rapper: “When you are cool with who you are, no one can use it against you.”

Rihanna’s letter, meanwhile, was written by Adele. The U.K. singer said of RiRi: “Whenever I’ve met her, she’s been the most gracious, loyal and funny goofball of an icon. She glows like when someone’s taken a picture with a flash and you’re dazed for a few minutes after. But it’s also very clear in that glow that she genuinely doesn’t give a fuck; she’s fearless and full of all the right kind of attitude to be everything that she is and will be forever.”
