Hilda Dokubo does not belong to the kitchen or the other room, she reiterates this on Instagram
Veteran Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo has joined the long list of Nigerians who have publicly reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s #TheOtherRoom comments made about his wife while he was in Germany last week.
Dokubo, who recently featured in Kunle Afolayan’s movie The CEO, took to her Instagram to declare that her place as a woman is neither in the kitchen nor in the living room, and definitely not in the other room, as President Buhari has suggested of his own wife, Aisha.
She said, “Hi, my name is Hilda Dokubo and i am a woman. I do not belong to the kitchen, i go to the kitchen to fix food for my family and myself who eats there sometimes, i don’t belong there. I do not belong to the bedroom either, i sleep there, it is my rest place, my things are there but i don’t belong there. I do not belong to the sitting room, it’s a lounging place, i rest there and i watch television. I do not belong to the other room because i don’t know where the other room is in my house except that this other room sounds like the toilet, i cannot belong to the toilet. I am a woman, i deserve my rights to be a human being…”
The video was met with mixed reactions from her followers, most of whom think President Buhari wasn’t talking about all women but only his wife.

It’s fight to finish for Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe
Controversial American rapper, Azealia Banks has taken her row with Russell Crowe very seriously by filing a police report against the actor.
Crowe reportedly threw her out of an intimate hotel room party over the weekend after accusing the rapper of threatening to stab guests and making racist comments about Crowe and another guest.
It was reported that Azealia Banks said, “You would love it if i broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino shit.”
Banks has however denied the claims saying Crowe called her the N-word, choked her and spat at her.
Recall that Azealia Banks was handed a suspension by micro-blogging platform, Twitter earlier in the year for tweeting racist comments about singer, Zayn Malik. She also said that British rap music was a disgrace to the rap genre.
