Thanks a Facebook post Queen Bey shared hours ago, we now know everyone who has been cast for the upcoming live action remake of Disney’s classic animation, The Lion King.

Beyoncé will be playing lead character, Nala while award-winning Donald Glover will play Simba. Nigerian-born actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor will play the villain, Scar and James Earl Jones will again play Mufasa.

Director, Jon Favreau said in a statement, “It is a director’s dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life,”.

Well, we have till July 2019 to see how loud these ones will roar.

 

Rick Ross to perform at Calabar Carnival 

Organisers of the Calabar Carnival have successfully sealed a deal with American rapper, Rick Ross that will allow him perform at the carnival this December.

The Maybach Music Group boss will be taking the stage alongside Nigeria’s 2Baba, Tekno and Iyanya.

A media representative of the organising committee told newsmen: “For now, we have sealed a deal with Rick Ross; He is expected to be in Calabar on Dec. 26 to perform in the carnival. We are still talking with other international artistes that will also perform.”

 

Tyrese threatens to quit Fast & Furious 

If Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is going to be a part of Fast & Furious, then Tyrese Gibson’s character, Roman Pearce may be gone.

Tyrese took to Instagram on Wednesday to throw pointed shades at Dwayne calling him a clown, “I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce – You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours……… close your eyes dude you’re a “Clown”…… #CandyAssBitchMade

The singer and actor has been in a longstanding feud with Dwayne Johnson over the latter’s decision to appear in a spinoff that led to the rescheduling of Fast 9’s release date.
