The Oscars turned out much according to expectation. But a lot of surprises trailed the 87th season of the awards, such as the Best Actor win which went to Eddie Redmayne for ‘The Theory of Everything’ while Julianne Moore won Best Actress for ‘Still Alice’.
MLK adaptation, Selma was nominated for Best Picture but the award went to Birdman. In reaction, David Oyelowo who was the lead character and Martin Luther King himself in the movie, reacted to the flick not bagging an award.
He took to his Instagram page to say, “Thank You guys so much for the support, words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now despite the outcome of the Oscars #Selma still won #WeStillWon Thank You Guys & Love you guys always.”
