Accept my sympathy over Atiku’s exit | Buhari tells Oyegun

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday sympathised with chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun over the resignation of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar from the party.

He gave his sympathy at the inauguration of the National Minimum Wage Committee in Abuja.

What happened:

  • Atiku had resigned from the APC, stating that the party was dying.
  • In his resignation letter, the former vice-president also said the ruling party is not youth oriented.

What Buhari said:

“Accept my sympathy for losing a senior member of your party,” Buhari told Oyegun.

He, however did not mention any name.
