What He Did Next: D’banj joins Mercury Records (UK)

by Abdullahi Aborode

Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo (D’banj) former Mo Hits records co-owner has been signed on Mercury Records one of the top UK record label.

He now has a profile on their website which can be seen here that confirms the deal.

Mercury Records is member of the Island Def Jam music group a unit of the Universal Music Group which is the largest of the big four record companies in the world.

Grammy award winners Kanye West, Justin Beiber, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Nas, Jay Z and a host of top American artists also belong to this record label.

D’Banj’s twitter profile has since been changed to show Mercury Records on it.

His new twitter profile now shows DB/Good Music/Mercury/IDJ.

In response to a tweet when asked what IDJ means, D’banj replied ‘island def jam bro’

So I guess for doubting minds like me, it is glaring now that D’banj is out of MoHits Records!
