YNaijaBBNCoverage: Evictions now rest in the hands of housemates, Dora sent to the friend-zone

If you missed the Big Brother Naija eviction show this Sunday, fear not, we have you covered. Although we can honestly tell you that you didn’t miss much, seeing as no housemate was actually evicted.

The eviction show today was a one hour segment dedicated to some of the most interesting events of the first week, and Ebuka catching up on the housemates. Here is the run down from some of the most interesting things from the live eviction show.

New eviction rules

Unlike previous seasons where only the head of house has immunity from eviction, this season, that perk will be afforded to the head of house (HOH), and the deputy head of house (DHOH).

Another new and shocking twist is that for the first time since the show began, the power to evict housemates will rest in the hands of fellow housemates. To further clarify, every housemate will be up for possible eviction except the HOH and DHOH.

On the day of the eviction, the four housemates with the lowest vote will be put up, and the rest of the housemates will nominate to evict one. This is an interesting twist when you look at it, because housemates will have no choice but to get into each other’s good graces.

Revelations

During the live eviction show, Ebuka had a chat with some of the housemates and here’s what they had to say.

Ozo

Sad news for Doro/Ozo shippers, as Ozo drops the F bomb; Friend-zone. If Ozo’s words are anything to go by, then it’s official, Dorothy has been shoved into the friend zone. Ozo made this revelation to everyone, stating that he is closest to Dorathy, but only as a friend, while he feels some attraction to Nengi.

The highlight of the revelation however, was how he put it. Using complex words like innuendo and conjecture, as he explained the situation to a confused looking Ebuka.

Lucy

The Lucy and Kaisha fight was apparently about leaving the room door open.  Lucy who was in the bedroom at the time of the altercation, explained that Kaisha had entered the room and exited without closing the door. This upset her, and the fact that Kaisha refused to respond to her after she had called out to her.

Kaisha

Kaisha on the other hand felt like Lucy was just trying to trend, and as such caused a huge stir over something she believed was not a big deal.

Vee

Vee stated that she is drawn to Neo because he has a very good spirit and he makes her happy. However, she said that Neo and her are not a ship yet.

Tochi

According to Tochi, the cliques that are being formed in the house are mostly couples. He says it makes it difficult to get to know them individually, because anytime he goes to talk to them he feels like he is interrupting something. “We single people find it hard to cope.” He stated.

Tolanibaj

Tolani admitted that she has been reluctant to open up to the other housemates, but promised that this week, fans are sure to see another side of her.

Ebuka’s closing remarks

“Remember, pomo and belt start from the same place, but na only one enter belle.” Ebuka said.

A Strange analogy, but truly meaningful. He said this in reference of the point he was trying to make, that as of now, everyone has a clean slate and the opportunity to play the game and wow the fans.

This however will not be the case through out the show as fans are sure to vote for those who they believe will dish out interesting content. Sounded like a jab at Tolanibaj, who had admitted that she is hesitant to open up.
