#YNaija2015Review: ‘Orubebe, Vic O, APC Senators’ | 7 moments in 2015 that made us cringe with shame

The year 2015 has been eventful!

With the drama that followed the April presidential election, formation of the 8th senate, Drake and Meek Mill beef and a host of other memorable occurrences, here are some of the 10 moments that made us hide our heads in shame.

  1. Orubebe’s show of shame at INEC collation centre.

The former minister for Niger Delta embarrassed himself on national television, during the collation of the results from the presidential election in April 2015.

In a lousy manner, he challenged the results being read out by Professor Attahiru Jega.

2. APC senators infamous National Assembly scuffle.

It would appear that the All Progressives Congress embarked on an election campaign in the April without giving much thought to what happens in the event of victoy.

Shortly after reclaiming the majority from the Peoples Democratic Party, the APC Senators acted like unruly amateurs over the composition of Senate Leadership.

3. Vic O’s diss track

Self proclaimed greatest rapper in the world, Vic-O jumped on wax to address the beef between Meek Mill and Drake earlier in the year.

Although Vic-O warned his fans before releasing the diss track that he was about to commit murder he failed to mention that their eardrums would be getting murdered.

Here is a line from the song: “I am music, I kill beats and give it to my fans to eat!

We felt even more ashamed for the shameless Vic O, when he released a cover of Adele’s Hello.

4. Donald Trump’s indictment of Muslims

Following the terrorist attack on Paris, the continued threat posed by the ISIS group and the California shooting and hostage situation in December, one of the aspirants for the presidential seat of the United States America, Donald Trump attacked Muslims, verbally.

The businessman turned politician said if he elected as president of the USA, he would ban Muslims from entering into the country.

When the world is trying to end sectarian stigmatization, it is most shameful that a man of such high standing would reveal such bias for a religious group.

5. Bauchi snakes and ladder plane

This embarrassing incident became comic relief for international media.

An Aero Contractors aircraft in Bauchi airport, allowed passengers disembark with the use of a ladder.

Very shameful.

6. Steve Harvey’s Miss World goof

Veteran TV host and comedian, Steve Harvey made a regrettable goof in announcing the winner of the just concluded Miss World Beauty Pageant.

He announced Miss Colombia as the winner of the beauty crown first, waited for her to be crowned and handed the bouquet before reneging on his announcement and declaring Miss Philippines as the legitimate winner.

Such an embarrassing moment for Steve and Miss Colombia.

7. Omojuwa’s olodo moment

Brace yourself guys, here we go.

Japheth Omojuwa measured the diameter of the earth and put it in comparison with the 30,000km worth of road that the Goodluck Jonathan administration claimed it constructed.

See his tweet:

What Omojuwa attempted to pass across to his followers is that all the roads in the world in measurement cannot be up to 30,000km as the world’s diameter in itself is slightly over 12,742km.

However, a diameter is a straight line going through the center of a circle connecting two points on the circumference.

Perhaps, Omojuwa should have paid more attention in geography class, no?
