YNaija Tinsel Weekly Review: 20 – 27 November

by Joy Ehonwa

“What is your name and who is your father?” This is the first question you should ask any boy who comes to visit your daughter – Titi Kagbesioye says to Titan.

Tokunbo to Francesca did come to visit as we expected, and Titi drilled him endlessly – in writing. She’s preparing for her role as the dumb Morenike, so she has decided not to speak for one month, instead scribbling question after question on sheets of paper.

But that’s an aside, innit? The Ade Williams are still at it!

Sheila asked Phillip to return and head Reel (Studios). He requested time to think about it, and then chose to be head of production. Kwame didn’t take the news well, and we are sure some vengeful plan is already forming in that devious heart.. Amusingly, no sooner had Phillip resumed behind his new desk than Chris Okereke showed up and threatened to badmouth The Harmattan Diaries movie to his fans. Trust Phillip. He told him. Oh, how he told him!

Meanwhile, after witnessing the effect of Laide’s presence on Fred, Phillip concluded that she is all the medicine his father needs. He asked Laide to move in permanently, and though Sheila is outraged at the idea, Phillip refused to change his mind.

Thankfully, Laide told Dan she wouldn’t move in unless Sheila asked her personally. Sheila turned the matter over and finally gave in – for Fred’s sake. The thought of Sheila pretending to be a nurse, while Laide plays woman of the house is unbearable. People die of heartache, you know.

Meanwhile, Angela is still at large. And Eneh is back! Though sans Chuks, who is staying back in the UK for a Vocational Course in Fashion Design. Eneh is here here to graduate and go for her NYSC

And sigh. That annoying Mrs Etuk has gone to the office of the Public Prosecutor at the Ministry of Justice to make enquiries about prosecution procedures for a murder case! A former colleague of Amaka’s tells her about this… and to our chagrin Amaka calls Mrs Etuk and starts weeping!

Not surprisingly, the gap-toothed witch has no for an answer.

This week, we met Mr Ohakanu, the spokesperson for “Telema’s Soldiers.” After surprising Telema at Mirage Spa and appearing on The Juice with Peju to defend her, he went over to Sankey and tried to convince her of Telema’s innocence, asserting that he camped outside her house on the night of Varere’s death and he saw her go out only once, for about 30mins.

Obviously, this freak means well – but the odds are that he has done more harm than good. We’ll just have to wait and see.

See you next week!
