Don’t vote for ‘Poverty Development Party’ in Bayelsa election – Tinubu

Bola Tinubu

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Poverty Development Party.

Speaking at the mega rally of the ruling party in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, Tinubu said the country was in the wilderness during the 16 years of PDP at the helm of affairs.

At grand finale of the APC campaign which was held at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa, on Tuesday, Tinubu advised the electorate to defend their votes.

The APC candidate, Timipre Sylva, is seeking to unseat incumbent governor, Seriake Dickson of the PDP, in the Bayelsa governorship election of December 5.

Tinubu said: “On Saturday, go and vote and make sure you defend your votes. They are already afraid of you, because you are already the masters. Sylva is back; he has bounced back. His winning lies with you.

After you have voted on that day, do not go home. Stay there and they should count the ballot in your presence. Do not leave it for the agents; shine your eyes properly.”

“To get freedom, it is not served free of charge. You must protect your votes. Your votes are your freedom from poverty, unemployment, bad government, among other ills.”
