Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has been announced as one of the hosts of the sixth edition of the MTV Africa Music Video Awards.
The announcement on Friday, October 21, 2016 at a press conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Yemi Alade will now join South Africa actress and model Nomzamo Mbatha and South African media personality Bonang Matheba as hosts.
Trevor Noah, who was expected to host the event cancelled for health reasons and took to Twitter to apologize.
“We love you and still support you. We wish you a speedy recovery @Trevornoah,” MTV tweeted.
The 2016 MAMA will hold on Saturday October 22nd in Johannesburg, South Africa.
With the way things are going, It seems this will be the driest MAMA ever. Almost all Nigerian Superstars are either in Houston or Lagos for the 3Kings Concerts.
