Kogi election: How Igala youth protested APC’s ‘rumoured’ selection of Yahaya Bello (PHOTOS)

After news spread that Yahaya Bello, popularly known as ‘Fair Plus’, had been selected as candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the December 5 supplementary governorship election in Kogi, wild jubilation broke out in parts of the Central Senatorial District of the state.

But while the people of the central district jubilated, youths in the Eastern Senatorial District, blocked the Itobe Bridge in Ofu local government area of the state in protest over the choice of Bello.

The protest lasted over five hours, as the youths blocked the road linking the state to the eastern part of the country.
