#WorldCup Roundup: Senegal crash out of Group H on fair play

Senegal lost to Colombia 1-0 in their group H decider to crash out of the World Cup and break African hearts. It is indeed a very sad World Cup for Africa. Senegal played well but were wasteful and could not convert their opportunities. Yerry Mina scored a headed in the 74th minute. Senegal left 6’5 Mina to a free header from a corner. Say what you want about heart and effort, but Senegal and African teams were not good technically and tactically.

Poland defeated Japan 1-0 from a goal from Jan Bednarek, therefore Colombia and Japan go through in group H. Senegal and Japan were tied on four points, but Senegal was worse off on yellow card count.

Colombia will face the runners-up in group G and Japan will face the winner in group G.
