Why you shouldn’t click porn links on your Facebook feed

Over 100,000 people had their computers infected with malware after clicking on a porn video that popped up on their news feeds. The virus infects computers with a Trojan, allowing hackers to remotely control your computer. It also then posts the video from the victim’s Facebook profile, starting the cycle over again.

The video in question is a porn clip that “stops” halfway through and requests viewers update their software to see the rest. If the user agrees, the virus is downloaded. In an official statement, Facebook said they’re aware of the issue and have automated systems in place to catch the fake video.

Basically, people are clicking on porn links in their Facebook feed and then blindly downloading software in the hopes they can keep watching porn. This is 2015, people… stop!
