Conspiracy theories and political analysts/watchers are presumably, already working overtime, to figure out what former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, may be up to.
Atiku, who is the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress’ Board of Trustees, on Thursday, June 11, met with a strongman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He met with the immediate past Governor of Akwa-Ibom, Godswill Akpabio.
In various circles, it is believed that Atiku, was behind the revolt that led to the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara, as Senate President and Speaker, respectively.
The pair secured the backing of PDP lawmakers and party chieftains, to get elected leaders of the National Assembly against the wish of their party, APC.
Akpabio, who is now a Senator, was alleged to be one of the major financiers of the political coup of Tuesday, June 9, and a few days later, he is pictured meeting with Atiku.
Perhaps, this is enough justification for conspiracy theorists and political analysts to go to work.
