Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social issues, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous.

One of the funniest thing on Twitter is seeing one tweet quoted with the same admonishment over and over. Like, at what point does it occur to people that they’ve nothing original to add to the erm, discourse?

Nigerians have not suffered enough. More than half of the population are used to suffering and anyhowness. A huge percentage also actively defend mediocre governance. I don’t see any serious revolution happening in a country where a lot of people behave in a docile manner.

What would you consider ”suffered enough”? I don’t think we should completely write off protests that can induce revolution. Look at some of the social changes that feminists have been able to effect in the larger society from social media. Have some faith, Dipo.
