Voters, electoral officers flee as thugs invade polling units in Kogi

Thugs have disrupted voting at Eti Aja 2 polling unit in Dekina Local government area of Kogi.

Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress, is challenging incumbent governor, Idris Wada, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, in the governorship election.

As voting commenced on Saturday afternoon, thugs invaded some polling units, where they shot sporadically into the air.

The voters and the electoral officers were therefore forced to flee for safety as the thugs shot indiscriminately.
