An Election Petition Tribunal in Makurdi, on Thursday, threw out the suit filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Daniel Onjeh, challenging the emergence of Senator David Mark in the Benue Senatorial re-run election.
In throwing out the petition, the election tribunal noted that the suit was filed after the mandated 21 days.
The presiding judge, Justice Chinyere Gloria Anulube, ruled that the petition was “defective and incurably bad”, saying the tribunal doesn’t have the jurisdiction to rule on the suit.
