While Nigerians are still screaming #EndSARS on social media, there has been a development in the Fulani herdsmen crisis that’s been barely acknowledged. According to media reports, the Nigerian Airforce dropped bombs on villages in Adamawa state, which Fulani herdsmen had previously rampaged.
According to the Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, NAF’s Director of Public Relations, only “warning shots” were fired, and not at civilians. But Nigerians on Twitter have a different tale of some conspiracy between the military and Fulani herdsmen.
See below:
There is a genocide going on in Northern Nigeria against ethnic minority communities. And when you read stories of how the military attacks & kills the locals its difficult to escape the conclusion that they support this agenda

The Nigerian Air Force set fighter helicopters to fire "warning shots" at the Adamawa Communities suffering from herdsmen attacks. Those "warning shots" killed 50 locals.
How do people complain about getting killed by herdsmen only to get killed by NAF?
— Igala_King (@i_am_Anomeli) December 6, 2017
The NAF fighter jets did not kill members of the fulani militia that is killing people & destroying their villages. Instead the jets killed 50 of the people whose family & friends are being killed & whose villages are being destroyed.

All over the North Central & in ethnic minority communities in Northern Nigeria the story is the same – the military either stands aside & watches as herdsmen pillage & plunder or – as in the case of Numan yday – attacks the communities & does nothing to stop the herdsmen

DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT A GENOCIDE ISNT GOING ON AGAINST ETHNIC MINORITIES IN THE NORTH.
DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT THE GOVT IS DOING ANYTHING TO STOP IT

For 5 days, fulani herdsmen have attacked communities in Adamawa killing people & destroying their villages. In response, the Nigerian Air Force send a fighter jet & attacks helicopters.
THEY KILLED 50 MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITIES & NO HERDSMAN
Decide their agenda for yourself
— Igala_King (@i_am_Anomeli) December 6, 2017
The story is always the same.
When the communities arm themselves, the military conducts a house to house raid and seizes their weapons.
Like clockwork, a few days later herdsmen attack, kill people, destroy the community.

Nigerian Airforce Fighter Jets killed 50 villagers who survived Fulani herdsmen attacks in Adamawa??
The C-in-C is Fulani

Actually, the Fulani herdsmen vs local farmers is now actually a low level civil war that is gradually spreading across the country…

NAF says it sent choppers and our tired, ancient and limited Alpha jets to bomb othe area of conflict shows that is not just an ordinary conflict.
NAF that mistakenly bombed IDP's to death can not say it fired "warning" shots in this Adamawa conflict.
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) December 6, 2017
I hope we understand what it means when an airstrike, so to speak, is called in?
It means either the there are no troops on ground or the the troops on ground are on a back feet in the ground combat.
So, what is NAF saying again pls?
— afrispheric (@afrispheric) December 6, 2017
To make matters worse, the villagers in Numan in Adamawa state says those NAF bombs killed their people, and not the Fulani herdsmen.
It is really a dangerous thing when citizens believe their government has taken sides against them in a conflict.

The report below by @sbmintelligence talks concisely about this Fulani herdmen vs farmers conflict.
Unfortunate that Buhari's FG has allowed this perennial issue to escalate massively…https://t.co/3eXwj9RkyE

The mass murder of hundreds of indigenous Numan people in Adamawa state by Fulani herdsmen is barbaric and unacceptable. These animals are worse than Boko Haram and one day they will pay a heavy price for their butchery and barbaric behaviour. The day of reckoning is coming!
