Love is an amazing thing and even the rich and famous need to have a special someone at their sides.

This year we had our share of celeb weddings and hook-ups and they made us ooh and aah.

Here is our list of 2013’s top 5 celebrity love stories.

1, 2face Idibia and Annie Macaulay

This union made our hearts swoon and filled our bellies with butterflies. The couple have been through a whole lot together and their 10-year on and off relationship was not the easiest journey but it was finally crowned with a shiny diamond and two “I dos” in March this year.

2, Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz

The former Miss. Savage has made no secret of how much of a support system her husband and manager, Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun has been. He believed in her when no one did and so it was no surprise that they made their love permanent with a kiss and a ring on the day of love, February 14, 2013 and cemented their union in November.

3, Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo

After almost 10 years and 2 children, Peter “Psquare” Okoye finally proposed to and married his beautiful sweetheart and mother of his kids, Lola Omotayo. It was a tale of everything coming full circle, eventually.

4, Dr. Sid and Simi Osomo

Mavin star, Dr. Sid released a new album this year but most importantly he got engaged to the girl of his dreams, Barrister Simi Osomo. The duo also had their introduction earlier this month. A doctor marrying a lawyer; every Nigerian parent’s dream.

5, D’banj and Genevieve

D’banj and Genevieve Nnaji have arguably been the nation’s favourite couple, that was until they broke up a while ago. Well they are on this list because we hear that they are back together and even talking marriage. A Genny/ Eja Nla wedding? We can’t wait!
