The UK Guardian has removed a story published earlier today purportedly written by renowned author and novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The article chronicled Adichie’s battle with depression and the brave steps she has taken to tackle the illness. The story is an inspiration to many around the world who are faced with depression and its potentially debilitating effect on the life of the sufferer.

On its website, The UK Guardian explained the reasons for its action saying the article “was launched in error.”

“This article was deleted on 1 February 2015 because it was launched in error, without the permission of the author following a technical error. The Guardian apologises unreservedly to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie,” the statement said.
