In celebration of international women’s month 2021, Rubbin’ Minds is celebrating women who have continued to shine and grow in their various fields and in all works of life. Where women have been told that they can’t do certain things or behave in some certain way for the longest part, some women have broken these barriers and have grown exponentially in their field and on their own terms.

As is this year’s campaign theme, #ChooseToChallange, Rubbin’Minds will spotlight powerful women who have chosen to challenge the status quo on International Women’s Month special on Sunday, 7 March 2021.

 In this episode, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, will lead on the conversation with Nigerian veteran actress, Joke Silva, Nigerian human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, Nigerian media and TV personality, Aghata Amata, and some Nigerian first ladies in this special show powered by Lipton

For the longest, there have existed certain things women would do that society will frown upon. From ‘odd jobs’ to certain mannerisms that are considered abnormal of a women, most women have felt like they have been put in a box for the longest. However, a lot of women are springing out of that box. We now have women who are comfortable being their absolute self and doing what they like by taking charge of their bodies, careers, lifestyle without minding what society will say or think. These women have chosen to challenge the status quo and break the barriers that surrounds them.

In this special edition of the show, Lipton is ‘Raising a mug to her’ in celebration of these women who have, above everything else, chosen to serve and lead by positioning themselves as instrument and vessels for change in society.
