Atiku, PDP propose 400 witnesses to challenge Buhari’s victory

The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, told the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Monday that they had proposed to call 400 witnesses to prove their petition challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, and his All Progressives Congress, at the February 23 poll.

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday ordered the permanent forfeiture of the sums of N9.2bn and $8.4m recovered from wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience. Justice Mojisola Olatoregun ordered that the funds should be forfeited to the Federal Government.

Controversy over Ruga settlements for Fulani unnecessary

Bukola Saraki, former president of the senate, says the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is on a “wild goose chase.” Saraki spoke in response to a statement credited to the EFCC.

On Sunday, the anti-graft agency alleged that the former Kwara governor is behind a media campaign against Ibrahim Magu, EFCC acting chairman. But in a statement on Monday, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki’s media aide, said his principal is not in any media war with anybody.
