Here are the top 5 stories that drove conversation today:

President Muhammadu Buhari played host to Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo at the State House in Abuja, on Tuesday.

This will be the third time the Ghanaian president would be visiting Nigeria in less than four months. In June, he visited Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, who was then the acting president. In August, he visited Osinbajo for the second time.

Besides his visit in August when he delivered a lecture at the  National Defence College, the purpose of Nana Akufo-Addo’s visits to Nigeria remain unknown.

Soldiers of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday, reportedly surrounded the country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in Umuahia, Abia.

The soldiers were said to have arrived in armoured personnel carriers and Hilux vehicles.

Some of the soldiers reportedly stormed the state’s chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), also in Umuahia, where they destroyed items worth thousands of naira.

The reason for the raid is, however, not known.

Meanwhile, the governor of Abia, Okezie Ikpeazu has declared a three-day curfew in Aba.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said on Tuesday that hurdles to continue the recall process of Senator Dino Melaye (Kogi West) has been removed, and now the process will continue.

INEC also said, in a statement, that it would release a revised timetable for the process.
