The Future Awards Africa Winners Spotlight: Bamidele Odufuye (Winner, Best Use of Technology, 2008)

Bamidele-Odufuye

Bamidele Odufuye won the Best Use of Technology prize at the 2008 and 2009 editions of The Future Awards Africa.  Bamidele is the CEO of Nextek Platforms, (formerly known as Tsaboin Tech World,) the idea of which he says began while he was in school.

“I started preparing myself for the big job, and as a result of this vision I started the business immediately after school,” he said in a 2012 interview. Odufuye first went into partnership with some other companies who already had clients. He helped them by providing solutions. However, Tsaboin Tech World was later acquired by a bigger firm with a global outreach. The transformation was what led to Nextek Platforms. Tsaibon Tech World was formed, he says, to respond to “the need to bridge the technology gap between local and foreign content.” The objective of the organization was to develop solutions for various organizations in different aspects of IT like Web Services, Multimedia and Graphics, Brand Designing and Concepts, Application Service Provider, System Engineering, Networking, Data Warehousing and many more.

Before Nextek/Tsaibon, he worked at Splashers Tech in 2005 as a Web Interface Developer.
