Stop looking for signs of your own progress in other people’s eyes or actions.
You know where you are coming from, you know where you are going, and you know how far you have already come.
If you have a trusted accountability partner, maybe a friend or a family member, who can help you without adding baggage, you are lucky. If you have a coach, you are blessed. But if you don’t have any, you are often enough to see your own progress.
Pay attention to yourself, and congratulate yourself for when you have done better. Then keep moving, whether others see it or not. Because you can’t control another person’s perspective.
Peace of mind is an internal, single-player game.
