Asides the major spiritual experiences around which the Holy Ghost Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God is centred, another thing we look out for every year is the numbers.

Yes, numbers!

I know that sounds a bit off but regular attendees at the camp ground can attest to this fact.

The first set of numbers are the numbers of children born daily at the clinic. What makes these numbers really exciting is how Daddy G.O. splits the numbers into the number of boys and girls born. Somehow, the girls always take the lead in the number of children born during the convention. We can only hope that this year, more boys will be born. I think some parents actually plan their delivery time towards convention but then, it’s none of my business. They make the numbers exciting too.

The second set of numbers is the rating of neatest and dirtiest regions on the camp ground based on how neat or dirty their surroundings are. This is always a time to laugh at the dirtiest regions (if your region is lucky not to be a part of them) and applaud the neatest regions.

Pastor E. A. Adeboye made a short announcement before his brief sermon at the welcome service saying the number count will start this evening and we are really looking forward to it.
