The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) has done an audit of Nigeria’s Oil and Gas industry in 2014, and a couple of observations were made.

Of prominence is that the audit revealed that 350 million barrels of crude oil were lifted for export on behalf of Nigeria, while 1.08 million barrels were lost.

Also, there was a decrease in volume of crude oil production in 2014.
