The biggest news in Nigeria today – bigger than the fact that it’s another Wednesday and no one can point to the whereabouts of President Buhari – is that Banky W is engaged to Adesua Etomi.

Nigeria’s number 1 bachelor (we’d limit his status to the entertainment industry but no, number 1, no buts) is finally getting married. This news is naturally amplified by the fact that Banky W has, for quite a while, being the only eligible bachelor in his circle of friends. A fact he’s often teased with on social media.

But no more apparently.

He’s engaged to Nollywood actress and his The Wedding Party co-star, Adesua Etomi. To be honest, Adesua Etomi is quite the catch herself. Just the other day, on Twitter, Adekunle Gold was begging for RTs (retweets) in order to get her to go on a date with him – because, “friend zone yi ti su mi”.

Anyway, lest we get so carried away with the euphoric news of their engagement that we forget all the other boys in town, we have to quickly assess the playing field to find the other eligible bachelors around here now that Banky is off the market.

Chukie Edozien is easily now the most eligible bachelor around here. He’s not only fiiiiiiiine, he’s also become a lot more spiritual over the past few years, saying “light extinguishes darkness, so once I saw the light.  It was a no brainer to say good bye to my old life and old ways.”

Who does not want a fine looking and hardworking young man who has accepted to live his life according to the ways of the Lord.
