Suicide bombing attacks ‘kill 11’ in Maiduguri

Separate suicide attacks have killed 11 persons and injured about three others on Tuesday in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, TheCable reports.

According to the news portal, a security source said two bombers detonated their explosives around Molai Kalamari at 10pm.

The second explosion reportedly occurred at Sabongari Polo area of the state capital.

“I cannot specifically tell you whether the suicide bombers were male or female. But we have deployed emergency response team to the scene,” the source said.

Ibrahim Baba, a resident of Molai Kalamari, said the explosion occurred very close to his residence.

“We all woke up in fear and shock. The sound was loud as if it happened inside my house,” he said.
