The event was the 2015 edition of Miss Universe, and the goof was announcing Miss Colombia as the winner, when the actual winner was Miss Philippines.
Steve Harvey called out Colombia’s Miss Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner of the beauty pageantry competition, but Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of Philippines was the real winner.
