Finally, winner of the maiden edition of Nigerian Idol, singing competition, Yeka Onka has released her debut single. The track, ‘Follow You’, is produced by Chocolate City’s in-house producer Jesse Jagz and is delivered in English, a bit of Yoruba and her local dialect, Igbo.
Yeka, who many have called Nigeria’s Whitney Houston is excited about her debut effort. She said: “It has been an exciting few months working through an amazing range of sounds and options. I have been very blessed to work with this team of professionals to present my music.”
This is a tip of the iceberg, as Yeka is in the studio working hard on her first album. She is currently working on some songs with the legendary Cobhams Asuquo, after which she will embark on a working trip to the UK to finish work on the album and her music video.
