Film directors are giving a new name to fairy tale endings. Check out the first pictures of Angelina Jolie in character as Maleficent – the Sleeping Beauty villain who condemns Princess Aurora to her ultra-long slumber.

The film which releases in March 2014 titled Maleficent, tells the story of what leads the evil  witch, Maleficent to curse the baby to death.

Elle Fanning, Juno Temple and Miranda Richardson are also starring in the movie.
