Shots fired! Jose Mourinho takes jibe at Wenger

Both Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have had a frosty relationship with each other down the years.

Things however escalated in 2014 when the Portugese coach who just made a return to Chelsea called his french rival a ‘specialist in failure’ making a reference to Wenger’s 10 year wait for a Premier League title since 2004.

Mourinho is a three-time-Premier League title winner with Chelsea while the Arsenal manager lifted his third in 2004 and has only had 2 FA Cups and a top four finish to his name since then

On Tuesday, July 5, 2016 the new Manchester United coach in his first press conference emphasized on that edge he has over Wenger yet again.

He said, “Some managers — the last time they won a title was 10 years ago. Some of them — never. The last time I won a title was a year ago. So if I have a lot to prove, imagine the others.

He then added, “I could approach this job in a defensive point of view by saying ‘the last three years the best we did was fourth and an FA Cup.”

“I could go into that side but I can’t. Manchester United is a different dimension [to other clubs] but when person have the same menu year after year, it has to change for the better than worse.”
