1. CBN upsets Nigerians
Not everyone is happy with the new policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria
The cutting down of ATM withdrawals from N100,00 to N60,000 has upset Mr. Chika and Mr. Chukwu and Mr. John.
Since we can’t withdraw up to N100K, CBN should expect the return of long bank queues.
2. APC and the missing N13.972 trillion
A lot of money is missing from the nation’s coffers, and APC claims to know the thieves.
The All Progressives Congress, says that an estimated N13.972 trillion was stolen during Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure.
And the broom waving ruling party says the money must be found and the thieves, prosecuted.
3. Death during rituals
This will go down as one of the worst ways for one to kick the bucket… and meet the Maker.
Augustine Daniel was in the process of performing rituals, when he slumped and died.
Daniel, a nurse, was found dead with two dead fowls, whom he accompanied to the afterlife.
4. Senators want to be born again
The greedy Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, want to start working.
They want to stop lazing around and start passing bills.
And they also want to stop collecting bribes… Amen!
5. Forget Peter Bello, others died as well
Can we for a minute remember that it wasn’t Peter Bello alone aboard that Bristow helicopter?
Everyone seems to know Peter Bello, albeit posthumously.
What about the others… no tributes for them?
6. Oyegun finally overcomes Bayelsa lawsuit
More like he pocketed the lawsuit/crisis.
After the mass defection, comes the calm.
APC Chairman, John Oyegun, has somehow managed to placate the Bayelsa politicians who had dragged him to court.
7. That leather you’re eating costs Nigeria a lot
A university don says our consumption of Ponmo is costing Nigeria a ton of money.
Olufemi Aluko, of the Obafemi Awolowo University, says Nigeria is losing out in the 75 billion dollar global leather industry… because we prefer to eat it.
It however seems unlikely that Nigeria will soon stop losing out from that industry.
