Following a country wide outrage on social media against a Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah-sponsored bill against freedom of speech on social media, members of the Senate are saying there’s no cause for alarm.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has come out to show support for the #NoToSocialMediaBill movement on Twitter.

Meanwhile the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had earlier released a statement defending the hearing of the bill on the house floor and explaining what it implied.
