See full schedule of Team Nigeria’s activities at Rio Olympics

A full schedule of activities Team Nigeria will be involved in has been released, just hours to the kick-off of the Rio 2106 Olympic Games in Brazil.

Nigeria will first feature in the Group B football clash between the U-23 boys and Asian country, Japan on Friday. Thereafter, Table Tennis stars, Segun Toriola and Funmi Oshinaike will participate in the preliminaries of the table tennis singles on Saturday, August 6th.

On Sunday August 7th, Nigeria U-23 team will battle their Swedish counterpart in their second Group B match while on Monday, Nigeria’s basketball team, D’Tigers will slug it out with the Argentine team.

On Tuesday August 9th, D’Tigers will face Lithuania in Basketball and while the next day, Wednesday will see Nigeria trade tackles with Colombia in the final Group B match.

D’ Tigers’ main challenge in the Group games will be against champions Spain on Thursday, August 11.

Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba will seek to scale through the Round of 16 of the Men’s Super Heavyweight boxing on Saturday 13th August.

On Sunday, August 14, Nigeria’s Basketball team will battle against Croatia and then go on to play host, Brazil on Monday, August 15.

Other events Team Nigeria will participate in are Men’s discus throw, Women heptathlon, Women’s shot put throw, Men’ 800m, Women’s 100m, Men’s 100m among others.
