Sean Spicer still has plans to leave the White House

Following the removal of Anthony Scaramucci as communications director, Sean Spicer still has plans to leave the White House in late August, according to Reuters.

Rumors that the former press secretary would stay on now that the reason he resigned had been eliminated just 10 days later have been circulating in Washington.

Spicer resigned last Friday, the same day Scaramucci was appointed. He was fired, Monday after a profanity-filled tirade against then-White House chief of staff Reince Priebus in an interview with a reporter for New Yorker.

Since he resigned, Spicer has been holding off lucrative offers for his life outside the White House and has found them too appealing to forsake, Reuters reports.

Retired General John Kelly was appointed as the new chief of staff, replacing Reince Priebus last week.
