Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II on Wednesday denied reports that he attacked Katsina emir, Abdulmumini Usman Dikko, over the alleged abduction and forceful marriage of a 14-year-old girl, Habiba Isa.
In a statement by one of his officials, Munir Sunusi Bayero, said the emir does not have a Twitter or Facebook account.
He also said the emir would not have commented about an issue he has little knowledge of.
“His Highness has no social media handles and does not even know about the issue of any teenager in Katsina or anywhere. The matter is a creation of mischief-makers aimed at causing disaffection between the royal houses”, Bayero said.
“So this is not the first time they are targeting the revered Emir with mischievous and unfounded speculations.”
