Reps to begin probe into Maina’s reinstatement on Thursday

The House of Representatives on Thursday will begin live telecast of its probe of wanted former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina.

The ad hoc committee in charge of the probe had already invited Maina last week.

The committee also invited the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami; Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.); the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita; the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu; and the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye.

According to Punch, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun have also been invited.

The committee is expected to investigate the recall of Maina into the civil service.
